Ironmouse is getting her own Fortnite skin, which is awesome for her fans but the collaboration has also sparked backlash because Fortnite uses AI during parts of its development process.

Ironmouse has spoken against supporting AI in games like Neverness to Everness so some people are calling her a hypocrite. Rather than attacking her I wanted to look at the bigger question: how realistic is it to completely avoid AI in video games today?

As an artist who is also against certain uses of AI, I think it's more complicated than simply saying “no AI.” Where should we draw the line?
