The Meditating Philosopher | Is Imaginal Wonder needed for Space & Time:: Imaginal Insights #10 :: John Vervaeke & Donald Hoffman @TheMeditatingPhilosopher | Uploaded December 2022 | Updated October 2024, 17 minutes ago.
Two creative powerhouses exchange thoughts and co-explore the role the imaginal has in our experience and conception of space and time. Are space and time emergent from our individual and cultural view on time? The whole talk is great in many ways!
Is a moment with a loved one the same as a day at work? J. J. Gibson's theories on cognition as real affordance perceiver, not a static, mechanical "thing" seems similar to this aspect of the conversation.
When John says "why does the one become many?" and similar referencing to Plato's dialogues, it is a good day in the world. :)
