The negative reactions to the in-mask shot from the trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day got me thinking about how much people's media literacy has been dumbed down. Artistic expression has been drowned by generic corpo enshittification and soulless AI slop, to the point where viewers are starting to be confused by anything that's not basic surface level. Super high definition, endless larger-than-life hyper detail, but no depth of meaning.
