Americans spend on average $700 per person, and $6,000 per family on Christmas gifts every year, much of it using credit cards. Dayton Informer Correspondent Kierra Tanner took to the Fairfield Commons Mall in Beavercreek last week to ask shoppers how much they thought the average family spent, and their thoughts on the phenomenon of mega holiday shopping.
