We put next-gen AI game dev tools to the ultimate test — can AI build full games from just a single prompt? First, we explored SEELE, the insane large multimodal model that turns text into playable 3D games. Then we jumped into Runway’s Game Worlds, a text-based AI game builder not yet public, but early testers say it's game-changing. We also tried Mirage by DynamicsLab — an AI-native game engine you can actually play, where the world generates in real time.

And finally, we flipped the script — what if AI just coded the game the traditional way? We gave Google Gemini a simple prompt to build a Doom-style shooter starring an orange cat vs. evil mice. Spoiler: the results were... chaotic.
