11-year-old Nesta from the Philippines lives and breathes football. He may be the smallest player on the pitch but he has a big heart and even bigger dreams. Nesta’s parents run a small eatery as they struggle with the expenses and find innovative ways to raise funds to support Nesta’s passion for football.
We follow Nesta on his first solo overseas match where he battles with homesickness and the tough competition on the field. Does he emerge victorious? Nesta also travels to Ilo Ilo to meet the legendary Mr Football, Elmer Bedia. Coach Elmer is an inspiration to Nesta and shows him that there is more to football than the game.
