In short form: I fully support anyone going to film school and if you can afford it there is really no better way to learn.

On the other hand the amount of great content teaching filmmaking out there is increasing daily so if you really want to you can learn all the basics for free.

BUT the structure and guidance you get in film schools is really the best way of learning how to do things the proper way.

In the end, it all comes down to various factors so watch the full video and take your time deciding if you are going to film school or not.
