Is Hell Too Harsh?
Many people think hell is an excessive punishment because they underestimate the seriousness of sin.
We already recognize that crimes carry different penalties depending on who they are committed against. An offense against a sibling is different from one against a police officer, a judge, or a king.
The Bible teaches that every sin is ultimately committed against an infinitely holy God. The severity of the punishment reflects the greatness of the One we have sinned against.
