When people think of theme parks, they usually think of rides.
But what if you don’t like rides at all?
In this video, I’m spending a day at Efteling in the Netherlands doing everything except the big rides — exploring the Fairytale Forest, taking in the scenery, enjoying the food, relaxing on the gondoletta, riding the train around the park, checking out the Pagode views, and looking at the entertainment and shows on offer.
Efteling is often praised for its atmosphere and theming, and this visit really shows just how much there is to do even if you’re not into roller coasters or thrill rides. From food and gentle attractions to live entertainment and beautiful walkthrough areas, this park proves that theme parks can be just as enjoyable without chasing the biggest rides.
If you’re planning a visit with someone who doesn’t like rides — or if you don’t — hopefully this video shows that parks like Efteling still have a hell of a lot to offer.
