Nintendo has sued every Switch emulation maker they can get their hands on (Yuzu emulator is gone, Suyu emulator is dead, Sudachi DMCA is a mess) and DMCA's Vimm's Lair and a ton of other sites...but now there is a diff situation going on in the world of retro game emulation / video game emulation...and that's Duckstation changing licensing terms and the maker stating on GitHub he may shut the entire project down? Considering PS1 emulation is best via Duckstation as its the best PS1 emulator...any fundamentally changes could be a bummer! Sure we have MiSTer FPGA cores and MiSTer FPGA alternatives...but software emulation is important!
