With few regulations currently in place to govern the use of AI, it comes as no surprise that experts are now expressing concern about the potential dangers that may arise from its rapid expansion. In fact, some have gone so far as to suggest that AI research should be stopped altogether. To better understand public opinion, we asked 50 individuals from diverse backgrounds to determine whether they considered AI a controversial technology and whether they believe it threatens our future.
