Members of the Sichuan Fire and Rescue Corps were conducting manual searches in the disaster-hit area in Gyirong County, Xigaze City, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region on Saturday morning, following a powerful mudslide at China-Nepal border on August 26.

As they searched through the affected area, the rescuers kept calling out, "Is anyone there?" As long as there is even the slightest hope, they will never give up.
