This advisory circular from 1986 cites FAR 91.181âwhich doesn't exist. Not only is it not in todayâs regulations, itâs not even in the historical archives. So how are we supposed to apply guidance that references rules we canât even read? đ¤ˇââď¸
Itâs time for the FAA to give this AC a much-needed update. Until then, take it with a grain of salt.
