We headed to Sedona, Arizona to test some of the most important bikes in mountain biking: the ones that actually get people into the sport.

From hardtails to a sub-$1,000 full suspension bike, we rode four entry-level mountain bikes back-to-back on real trails to figure out which one makes the most sense for new riders. Climbing challenges, rough descents, first impressions, and plenty of desert chaos along the way.
Featuring bikes from Giant, Polygon, Specialized, and Ozark Trail.
