This video walks you through the additional features of the Kingston IronKey Locker+ 50 G2. But first, the Quickstart guide can help you get started, if you haven’t already set up your drive.
Logging in as admin
If during the initial setup, you chose to enable the drive as user-only, enter your password and click to log in. However, if you enabled admin and user passwords, you can enter the user password or switch to admin and gain access to the full range of settings and features the drive offers.
Using the virtual keyboard
You can use the virtual keyboard function to protect against keyloggers and screenloggers. The eye symbol will let you check for any typos or other errors.
How to use the encryption
With your drive unlocked, you can access the your stored files that are automatically encrypted when saved and decrypted when opened. This security feature is “always on”, to enable ease of use.
IronKey device settings
Access your device’s settings by right-clicking the device’s icon and selecting “LP50G2 Settings”. There, you can change the login password, contact information, device language, and other Admin options, though you will need to input your password in order for any changes to be accepted and applied.
To cancel or continue modifying your settings, leave the password field blank and click “OK” to return to the Settings menu.
Reset User password
You can reset the User Password on the Admin Options tab. The new password requirement will be based on what was chosen during the initial set-up process (complex or passphrase), taking effect on the next User login.
