From the glory days of DC hardcore comes Iron Cross. While almost every DC band at the time then was trying to play as fast as possible, Iron Cross kept their sound more akin to the first wave of British punk/Oi! And also ugly and dangerous which I appreciated in my younger years. While they wavered back and forth with their image between punk and skinhead, they were always fervently anti-racist. That has been misinterpreted by some and their band name didn’t help in that sense. To quote their singer Sab, “But I'm glad people find us offensive and a challenge to them, because it means we're doing something. We want to make people think. As long as we can challenge people, especially the punks, then we're doing something. As soon as we become accepted, nice and safe, then it's time to quit.” -MRR Interview
This album contains tracks from the Flex Your Head comp, Skinhead Glory EP and Hated and Proud EP, plus all other tracks recorded during those sessions which were unreleased at the time.
