Ireland will hold the Presidency of the Council of the EU from 1 July to 31 December 2026.

The Irish Presidency will focus on 5 core priorities:
-Strengthening the Single Market
-Boosting the EU’s energy security and affordability
-Pushing for stronger Trade Deals
-Human centred AI
-Making sure the EU plays a role in keeping peace and security in the world
