And now for something completely different. I wrote this in an afternoon before class and threw it all together really quickly before I had to go. I played all the instruments (except a little midi banjo layer I added for texture) and its pretty obvious that I am not particularly adept at ANY of them XD (including voice). I always work with synths and samplers which are so exact and perfect. It is really liberating to just make and play something that is honestly out of tune, out of time and altogether all over the place. Funny story, I was trying to force myself to write a love song for songwriting practice but halfway through I just said “screw it . lets make this stupid goofy thing instead.” I could spend time learning and practicing this better for a cleaner recording but I don't really want to. Lets all pretend that the mistakes are all part of its “charm” I am just trying to build the rowdy tavern atmosphere! All part of the plan!
