Discover the visionary reshaping fashion: Meet Iris van Herpen in A World Beyond Our Own. This new film by Paris-based artist and director Diana Markosian was commissioned by the Brooklyn Museum for the opening of the exhibition "Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses".
The film takes you inside the artist’s inner world, revealing her artistry and the inspiration behind "Sculpting the Senses". Featuring more than 140 of Van Herpen’s extraordinary haute couture creations, this immersive fashion exhibition also includes contemporary artworks and designs, as well as scientific artifacts and natural history specimens such as coral, fossils, and skeletons. Explore the fluidity of water, the physics of motion, the perception of sound and light, and nature’s profound interconnectedness.
