While Blarney Castle has almost no historical significance, for centuries, tourists have been schlepping up to the highest turret of this medieval castle and kissing the Blarney stone, in the hopes of receiving the Irish “Gift of Gab”. While it may be one of the greatest tourist traps in Ireland, the Blarney Castle is still worth a visit, if for no other reason, than bragging rights.
