Iran’s women’s kabaddi team lost months of training after war disrupted their preparations for Asian Games. The young squad travelled to Sonipat for a week long camp, training twice a day and playing against Indian players from Sports Authority of India (SAI) centres across the country. For the players, the camp offered crucial match practice, new techniques and a brief return to normalcy before they head to Japan in September.
