The U.S. has received serious intel on Iran and China threatening to attack the U.S. water supply. The presidents national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, sent a warning message to state governors asking them to be on guard for possible cyber attacks on their critical infrastructure systems like drinking water.
The warning letter was co-authored by Michael Regan, the head of the US Environmental Protection Agency and made public on Tuesday.
In the waring letter they cited ongoing threats from hackers linked to the governments of both China and Iran, and warned hackers from these states have attacked our water systems before.
