Using a SNES Controller for Petscii Robots on the PET Chuck Hutchins 2022-01-26 | Using the Petscii Robots SNES adapter and the Hyperkin Scout SNES controller on a real PET.Note: This is an updated revision of a video I posted two days ago. I wanted to update the video after I figured out what was wrong.The PET user port does not provide power for the adapter, so I needed to tap power from the cassette port. It turns out, the Hyperkin controller doesn't work well with the PET but I found a solution.The Scout controller feels well built and the controls are responsive. The polypropylene containers must be transparent to UV. Trash to Treasure. PET 2001-32N restoration. Chuck Hutchins 2020-08-26 | Restoring a salvaged 2001-N that was beyond repair. I tried to sell the empty shell for a while but found no takers so I decided to have it re-coated.Probably not accurate to call it a restoration since it's not being restored to any previous condition.I had the case sandblasted and re-powder coated with a brighter white semi-gloss. I also replaced any parts I could with new parts, so it doesn't look anything like it did when it was new.I replaced the power cord, power switch, fuse holder, case badge and logic board with all new parts.I replaced the monitor PCB, yoke and keyboard with vintage parts from Ebay.Powder coating by Vaider Powder Coating, Rohnert Park, CAReproduction case badge from retromedics.comRubber feet: SF10T-TPR73-BPhotos: photos.app.goo.gl/qhKeXL8xM9wMV7AX7Eventually I may replace the keyboard with a new mechanical keyboard.
