Apple's first foldable is here, and I got an hour with it at Apple's briefing. I've had the Galaxy Z Fold 8 for three weeks. So I put them side by side.
The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 and ships October 23rd. The Fold 8 starts at $1,899.99 and you can buy it right now. Both drop the telephoto, both open to 7.6 inches, and only one of them feels like the software was built for a folding phone.
My early verdict: the Duo is the foldable I'd pick up, the Fold 8 is the foldable I'd buy. Here's why.
