I've been testing the iPhone Air for three weeks now, and the reality of using this incredibly thin phone is way different than I expected. Everyone's talking about what you give up, but after real-world use, some sacrifices matter way more than others. Some areas where I thought it would struggle don't even seem to be an issue, and I've come away with a different perspective than I did when I ordered the phone. It may even be a better phone than the iPhone 17 or iPhone 17 Pro for some people.
Still, there are some issues worth mentioning, and some tradeoffs you make with it, and in this video I'm breaking down what actually matters with the iPhone Air.
