This video compares the quality of video shot using the back-facing camera on an iPhone 4 and the Flip Ultra HD. Both camera shoot 1280x720 HD.

Footage was shot holding one camera in the left hand and the other in the right. Footage was then encoded using Apple Pro Res 422 HD codec and brought into Final Cut Pro for editing. From there, it was exported as a Quick Time Reference file and encoded using the Quick Time H.264 codec and uploaded to YouTube.

The audio stream is the one captured by the Flip Ultra HD, which seemed to yield high audio levels.

No adjustments were made to the two video streams other than to crop a portion of the screen and use a split-screen view so you could see both videos at the same time.

Interestingly, the color seemed to be a little different between the two cams, and the iPhone 4 seems to be decidedly more sensitive to light, as the video shot by the iPhone 4 is noticeably brighter.

Both look good, and the Flip definitely seems to capture better sound. I won't pass judgment as to which one looks "better." You can decide for yourself.
