This is the first test footage I have color graded coming out of my new iPhone 16 Pro. Most of it was filmed in Apple ProRes, LOG, 4K, 24p. But, there are also some 120p shots filmed in it's compressed 4K codec. In addition to using the 3 rear facing cameras that sport the focal lengths of 13mm, 24mm, and 120mm, I also do a quick test of the selfie cam (23mm) and built-in quad microphone system of the iPhone 16 Pro.
I chose the iPhone 16 Pro over the 16 Pro Max because the Max version seemed too big for my pocket to comfortably sport around during productions and not break it.
This was all shot right out of the box with no additional lens or filter attachments. I have the Moment Vari-ND and Cinebloom 10% filters on order and will be testing them with the phone when they arrive. Then I will also try using third party filming apps like BlackMagic's, to keep consistent exposure and shutter speeds. After I do that, I will do a follow up video that goes into detail about what I think of the camera quality of the iPhone 16 Pro to compared to my Red, Canon, and Sony cameras.
