I get it: the iPhone 15 doesn’t seem all that different than the iPhone 14 – which means it doesn't look all that different from the iPhone 13 (or even the 12 before that). Form factor fatigue is a big part of what drove me to foldables as my daily drivers, and to all outward appearances the iPhone 15 Pro / Pro Max is, indeed, just another rectangle.

But as rectangles go, it’s a pretty special one.

In addition to finally bringing the USB-C port I've been asking for since the start of this channel in 2016, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max make three major changes that will really matter to the folks who line up at the Apple store every new iPhone season.
