Khan is a distinguished public health leader and expert in infectious diseases, with a career spanning over three decades. He currently serves as the Dean, Richard Holland Tenured Presidential Chair, and Professor of Epidemiology at the College of Public Health, University of Nebraska Center. He previously served at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for 23 years before retiring as the director of the Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response.
