I've been experimenting with some 3D tracking effects in my upcoming game called Stackster. After seeing how Nintendo in the posted 3DS 3D tech demo on youtube was tracking movement to give a 3D effect (change game camera perspective as player moves device) on the devices screen, as if you were looking in a window, i thought i would attempt the effect on the iPad - iPhone. the initial effect is very nice but more noticeable in person, i'm hoping to improve the layers to add more to the effect later, however all the layers start to cause a frame rate drop so i'm balancing how much i can redraw and keep the frame rate acceptable. Sorry for the low quality video.
