Iowa gets their seemingly annual Amber Alert relayed over NOAA WX, however not much information was sent out regarding who was or who caused the bulletin, despite it being listed otherwise off-air.
Actually recording this alert was a nightmare, as due to a number of different reasons:
- EASyPLUS audio was too loud at first (it was quiet per another upload, so a bit after uploading that I adjusted the volume to 30, which led to this), leading me to wait until the alert was over to correct it.
- Accidentally overwriting a portion of one of my home recorded tapes (forgetting it was in the VCR as of recording this)
- Having to re-encode the message two times, the second one not even including the voice message since it was interrupted
- Forgetting there was a portion in one of the separate recordings where I accidentally unplugged the sound from my EASyPLUS, accidentally cutting off a portion of the message and having to reupload it (in other words, the reason why this video was uploaded twice.)
tl;dr; Recording the alert was a nightmare because my EASyPLUS and recording setup did not want to cooperate with me.
