At the IoT Tech Expo 2026 in London, U.K., the CEO of The Things Industries, Wienke Giezeman, gave a keynote talk on growing IoT at scale, in the context of his company’s growth through deployment of LoRaWAN solutions.
In this video interview, he gives EE Times’ Nitin Dahad some highlights of his talk and then delves into the many applications he sees for IoT – ranging from energy, buildings, cattle tracking, soil and more. He also talks about some of the key areas of growth – like water metering, and building management being key trends; and he explains some of the country and regional differences in regulations that drives some of the IoT applications and deployments.
