At the IoT Tech Expo Global 2026 in London, U.K., EE Times' Nitin Dahad chatted to the Dave Weidner, CEO of Pelion, a company that delivers managed IoT connectivity services.

The company evolved from Stream Technologies founded in 2000, which was then acquired by Arm/SoftBank when Arm was looking to build its IoT offer with this and the acquistion of Treasure Data, and then spun the company out as Pelion after it decided that it needed to refocus on its core areas of development. In today's video interview, we learn about the company;s background and its current focus as a managed network services provider delivering multi-network coverage, and why that is important for IoT deployments. Weidner also talks about what they see as today's challanges customers and the market faces when deploying IoT pruducts and services.
