While EE Times attended the IoT Tech Expo Global 2026 show in London, UK today, the big news from across the Atlantic was the news that Texas Instruments was planning to acquire Silicon Labs for $7.5 billion. EE Times' Nitin Dahad caught up with an analyst at the show to talk about the acquistion, what it mean for the IoT market and how the IoT market was evolving. You can watch that conversation with Edward Wilford, Senior Research Director, Automotive at Omdia, where they discuss what the deal means.
