Tatsuya Kanamori, who led the techno scene in Japan under the moniker DJ Shufflemaster, is back with a new project and a new album to be released from his new label "Shiki Kyokai". Tatsuya a.k.a. the pioneering DJ Shufflemaster has released a number of cutting edge minimal techno works from his own Housedust and Subvoice labels, along with time-honored Tresor in Berlin, Ben Sims's Theory, Phont Music in Switzerland, Chester Beatty’s Disq, as well as providing remix works for Adam Beyer's Code Red, Thomas Schumacher, DJ Rush, DJ Deeon etc. This will be his second album, twelve years after his debut "EXP" from Tresor in 2001, and is a collaborative piece with photographer Haruto Hoshi. The immensely conceptual album shows a side of Tatsuya as a producer that is a bit different from his alter ego DJ Shufflemaster. What you see and hear is an original, chaotic soundscape that unfurls a world of sound that could be considered Kanamori's personal soundtrack to the photos of Kabukicho in Tokyo and Koganecho in Yokohama taken by Haruto Hoshi. The album is a completely limited edition press of 300 units comprising a gorgeous two-page spread gatefold jacket that sports a photo book. CD versions are also included in the double vinyl album. Art direction was done by Keita Ishiguro, and mastering was conducted by Helmut Erler of the venerable Dubplates & Mastering studio in Berlin.
In 2013, he had launched a new label “Shiki Kyokai” and released of a full album "Dismantled Desire" under the name of “KANAMORI”. Subsequently, DJ Shufflemaster returns to his career after released a couple of singles by “Shiki Kyokai”.
Three originators of Japanese techno music include DJ Shufflemaster teamed up to release new original recordings, the project named DISQ CLASH. They sublimate Chicago house and Detroit techno, which they were influenced by, into new sound. Their debut EP “Turbo Clash” had released by Twin Turbo in 2015.
Dj Shufflemaster and Chester Beatty dropped "Our House Music" with old skool chicago house manner from Berlin's finest Ellen Allien's Bpitch Control Record.
