View the investiture speech of Dr. Kimberly Andrews Espy, 13th president of Wayne State University. The presidential investiture commemorated the beginning of a new chapter of university leadership. Featuring speakers, performances and presidential remarks, it was an opportunity for our institution to celebrate the official installation of its new president and look ahead toward its bright future.
Dr. Espy was unanimously elected president of Wayne State in 2023 by the Board of Governors. A leader with more than 25 years of experience in higher education, she is the first woman president in Wayne State’s history.
