Hopefully we'll be done with Nietzsche for a while after this one. It was fun and all, but I'm ready to move on.
On top of Friedrich, there's some some Freud and Jung vagueness, historical adventures, and The Structure. What is it? I would love to know.
"Inventing" or "creating" values, with the implication they'd have to be totally novel, reminds me of a joke from Eddie Izzard, about original sin. Basically, you have to confess to a sin the priest had never heard before. Same vibe.
An aspect I forgot to touch on, regarding doing a science on subjective experiences, is we also have to be mindful about how artificial our cognitive/psychology experiments can be. What we find in the lab may not be as applicable out in the messier real world.
