The World Farmers Markets Coalition - established in 2021 to serve as a voice for farmers markets around the globe - is part of the global network of organizations that support a shift from global to local. In 2022, they joined the World Localization Day campaign with an EAT LOCAL campaign.

World Localization Day is an annual celebration of ecological economies, communities, and local food, convened by the international NGO Local Futures.
