Discussion Meeting: Regularity, blow-up, and mixing of fluid flow
ORGANIZERS: Ujjwal Koley (TIFR CAM, Bengaluru, India) and Kazuo Yamazaki (University of Nebraska, Lincoln, USA )
DATE & TIME: 20 July 2026 to 24 July 2026
VENUE: Madhava Lecture Hall, ICTS Bengaluru
Partial differential equations of fluid mechanics are ubiquitous in nature and applications; yet, they are nonlinear and present great challenges for rigorous mathematical analysis. Important topics such as global regularity, finite-time blow-up, and mixing have witnessed remarkable developments in the past decade based on techniques from harmonic analysis and stochastic analysis, and yet still present many challenges. The purpose of this workshop is to bring together internationally renowned researchers from U.S, Asia, and Europe to discuss new findings in detail so that further advances can be made. The workshop will also invite selected young participants to help them advance their careers.
