Simulating quantum systems remains to be one of the primary applications of quantum computers which researchers are looking towards. This talk introduces the key concepts needed to understand how to approach simulating a quantum system using quantum computers. We'll begin with a basic introduction of quantum mechanics and how quantum systems are simulated and then explore how many of these problems are mapped to a quantum computing environment. We'll then finish with a code walkthrough to create a practical quantum simulation workload.
