FabFilter Pro-DS is a highly intelligent and transparent de-essing plug-in. In this tutorial, Dan Worall introduces the plug-in and its main controls. Using a real life example, he explains how to use the intelligent 'Single Vocal' mode, which accurately identifies sibilance in vocal recordings and attenuates it transparently. Using the 'Allround' mode, Dan shows how to de-ess vocals in full mixes/masters or how to use the plug-in as a high-frequency limiter.
