An evolution of the Type-X Sport Plus, the Silver Edition has been meticulously designed to blend fluidly into the reflective chrome bar-work of Australia’s most prestigious trucks and haulers. The DuPont powder coat finish has been uniquely customised to capture and reflect light, effortlessly integrating with your truck’s front-end design while providing all the protection benefits of powder coat finishing – guaranteeing optimal performance and extending the lifespan of your light. Engineered with a precision Cast aluminium body and a hardened polycarbonate lens, the Sport Plus Silver Edition achieves a robust IP68 rating against dust and water – which when combined with the liquid-silver DuPont powder coating delivers a light that stands up to the demands of the trucking community.
These lights are built to endure even the harshest driving conditions, ensuring reliability for every adventure. Each Sport Plus Silver Edition light boasts a theoretical lifespan of up to 30,000 hours and operate within a temperature range of -40°C to 60°C. The modern fin design provides sleek and contemporary aesthetic while playing a critical role in heat dissipation and thermal regulation, ensuring peak performance while safeguarding the LEDs and internal components.
Type-X Sport Plus Silver Edition delivers next-gen performance in beam distance and flood output. Both the 7 and 8.5 inch size variants will throw light well over 1km down the road, however it was crucial to our product engineers to provide more flood and illuminate the critical zones of the road with greater precision. The integrated wide-beam optics ensure excellent near-field illumination, blending seamlessly to eliminate hot spots and provide a smooth driving beam. Taking learnings from the Type-X EVO range, the optimised 5000K colour temperature has been integrated into Type-X Sport Plus, reducing eye fatigue over sustained periods of use – something particularly important for long haul truck drivers navigating dynamic driving conditions.
For added convenience, every Sport Plus Silver Edition model comes equipped with everything needed for installation straight out of the box, excluding vehicle-specific piggyback adapters. Furthermore, all Sport Plus models, except the 7", can seamlessly replace their legacy counterparts. The 7" Sport Plus, however, uses a DTP connector, which differs from the DT connector of its legacy version, making it incompatible as a direct replacement. Our recommendation is that you utilise the harness included in the box to ensure combatibility. This update ensures compatibility is clear, allowing customers to upgrade with confidence and ease.

Utilising a more efficient technology from CREE’s XP range of LEDs, TYPE-X™ EVO offers up to a staggering 580m of light throw down the road, and up to 84m of light spread laterally into the critical zones.
