Global Game Jam is excited to announce a brand-new partnership with Blue Ocean Games to launch the “Rising Tide Challenge”, a monthlong competitive “trailer” jam running May 1–31, 2025.
This inspiring new collaboration will give indie developers around the world the opportunity to create and pitch their game concepts directly to a new kind of investor, with real funding on the line.
The Rising Tide Challenge invites participants to produce a short, polished, in-engine Game Concept Trailer: a creative video showcasing the core gameplay idea they want to develop into a full game. Developers can choose any theme they like, and the jam is open to individuals and teams of all experience levels.
