As electric vehicles have increased in popularity, the infrastructure to charge them is also expanding. Hence maintenance and reliability of chargers are critical for operators and also for owners of stations.

The Fluke FEV100 station test adapter simulates the presence of an electrical vehicle and enable you to test the functionality and safety of an AC level 2 charger easily and reliably.

The Fluke FEV-100 connector accessory is your interface for type 1 socket outlets or J plugs on a level 2 charging station.
First connect the FEV100 station test adapter to the charger's type 1 connector and check that the station is correctly wired and secure. Make sure that protective earth is functioning properly using the PE pre-test safety feature. Then connect a multimeter. We recommend using the Fluke 87V. Check the output voltage and measure the continuity of the PE connector. You can also test GFCI trip time and leak current, troubleshoot and simulate control pilot and PE error through the simple press of a button. Check if the charging station cuts out the output voltage error separately. For more in-depth measurements, you may also want to connect a Fluke scope meter. We always recommend using a Fluke 124. The Fluke FEV100 has an IP 54 protection rating so it performs in dusty and wet environments.
