I was having problems sleeping due to the enthusiastic Florida car culture I live near.
There are 2 basic ways to solve this issue:
1) Listen to ocean waves or white noise on YouTube.
2) Spend hundreds of hours designing an entire fictional world, and months of testing and tweaking the audio design so you get a world that is warm, familiar, active, but unexciting and soothing.
Enter: SkyShadow! A Sleep Helper.
Come aboard our airship, and sleep! Set in the 1890s in an alternate steampunk world, you can hear the brass, glass, leather, and wood.
Enjoy the occasional whirring of the Atmos Computer, running its forecasts!
Muse at the Nav Computer's inner thoughts as she chugs along!
Feel the thrum of the SkyShadow's mighty propellors cutting the sky!
Become annoyed at the Captain for unneeded announcements!
Live sonically and passively in a parallel world.

Since I made this, I've been using it in unexpected ways. When you live alone, things can get quiet. Very quiet. There is an isolating silence that can disorient a brain that lives in a rich, active audio environment.
I run this all the time now. It provides enough variety to be interesting. I use it as a light bulb for sound. If anything gets "quiet... Too quiet!", here you go!
To be fair, a water fountain is also quite good... but I've had a water fountain and a terrarium with a waterfall feature. I now have floor damage.
More features are planned, including real-time voice announcements, time and weather indicators... Lots! Let me know if you have ideas on how to make this even better!
