The FX2 is a full-frame camera in the Cinema Line that inherits the visual philosophy of Sony's top-level VENICE series.
With high mobility, operability, expandability, and reliability, it’s ideal for solo shooting, and features enhanced still image functions designed to support filmmaking.
The FX2 produces footage with smooth, natural gradations thanks to 15+ stops of latitude when recording with S-Log3.
There are three modes available for Log recording - Flexible ISO, Cine EI, and Cine EI Quick.
Log Shooting mode is also available for stills, once change to the STILL mode at the flip of a switch, making it possible to shoot JPEG and HEIF still images with the S-Log3 gamma curve used during a video shoot. Therefore, the same workflow can be easily applied during post production. (Selecting LUT for monitoring and applying PPLUT are unavailable in STILL mode.)
