Meet Lauren Stowell, founder and CEO of American Duchess Inc. and Royal Vintage Shoes, two brands specializing in historic reproduction footwear.

American Duchess started in 2011 with a single style of 18th century satin shoe offered for pre-order. The style was an overnight success and lead to a broad line of historic reproduction shoes from the 16th century all the way to the 1920s.

Royal Vintage Shoes began as an offshoot of American Duchess, focusing on 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s styles for everyday. The brand has grown quickly and become a favorite in the vintage and retro market with original, fun designs from the past.
