Hi All,
I've been having so much fun learning to make my own stencils using my Cricut Maker that I thought I'd share it all in this new in depth series.

Then, I'll give you a tour of the stencil resource binder that I've put together with my hand made stencils and sample gel prints. I go from using very basic shapes available in Cricut Design Space to more complex shapes created from basic shapes. I'll also cover how to create shapes using letters, yes...just the basic alphabet in different fonts can be used to make amazing stencils that look nothing like the letters themselves. We'll explore how to find shapes on the internet that you can use to create your own unique shapes as well as unusual places to find design inspiration. I'll share how even my very limited knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Procreate is enough to create some gorgeous stencils unique to my own creativity and style.

If you're also using the Samsill Craft Plastic and a Cricut Maker, I wanted to share the material settings I came up with after lots of trial and error. I have the cut pressure set at 325, number of passes set at 3X with a fine point blade. I found that with these settings and then click on "more" pressure when you choose your material makes a perfectly cut stencil. In this video I'll show you once again how to add your own custom material.
