Our preparations for the state visit for the Nigerian President at Windsor Castle on 18 March continue. Sergeant James Wilkinson from our Specialist Search Unit provides an insight into what it’s like being a dog handler and working at this type of event.
As a force we have a vast amount of experience in policing Royal events in Windsor and significant planning and preparation has gone into this event.
We are also working with partners including the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council, the Royal Household as well as other key agencies to ensure the safety of those attending the event and the wider public.
