The first visitor to Interview City is broadcaster and restaurant owner Andi Oliver. In an alternate universe, or at least in a very different Britain, Andi would be considered a national treasure. Although, knowing Andi, she would probably disdain the description. What she indubitably is is an inspiration, having taken the DYI punk ethos and applied it to pretty much everything else she has ever done. Moving from Rip Rig and Panic to Great British Menu, she reveals all in on a hot summer’s afternoon with the writer and cultural commentator Paul Morley. In this two part interview we hear all about Andi growing up, growing wild, friendship, cooking, music, and the many things that make her go apoplectic.

One of Jamaica’s most prolific artists and compelling personalities sat down with Reggae historian Steve Barrow in 1995 to tell his no-holds-barred side of the story. And what a story. The focus, naturally, is on his 1976 hit “Ballistic Affair”, a track that perfectly captured the state of the (warring) nation, set to a powerful new take on the “College Rock” rhythm. He extemporises, philosophises, defines a “don”, and gives his version of a notorious incident.

Elwood is the musical project/collaboration of singer-songwriters Prince Elwood Strickland III and co-producer and songwriter Brian Boland. Born in the U.S. state of North Carolina, worked as a recording engineer at Sohos Greene Street Recording Facility where he and Boland met, working with artists such as Tricky, Mos Def, De La Soul, and Adam Yauch. Elwood worked with producer Steve Lillywhite on their debut album The Parlance Of Our Time, which was co-released on Palm Pictures.
